Black Love

Throughout the many hardships, injustice, and social battles, love still has its ability to conquer all. Throughout history, black people United as one to manifest their love for each other, while receiving the complete opposite signification from society. While we were once forbidden from the many opportunities that other people had, it never stopped us from synthesizing with someone that shares the same battles within our culture. And as generations continued, the tradition continued. That tradition is Black Love. Black love is continuing to lead the legacy and the cultural tradition that our ancestors once led. Black love is the feeling of comfort, to know that you can spend the rest of your life with somebody that can understand and relate to you. Black love is the feeling of acceptance, being able to feel comfortable in your own brown skin, knowing that your partner accepts you for who you are. Black love allows us to show off our black, brown, melanin beauty, while the world once neglected it. Black love shows that no matter what happens, someone will always be there by your side, throughout anything, because those who’ve lived before us fought to do the same thing. Black love is unstoppable. Black love is powerful. Black love is beautiful.
